From the President - August, 2010
The PNW ASTA Elections are over. I would like to welcome our new board and thank all of you for participating. Our new board is President - Robert Roach, Vice President - Thomas Kratsch, Secretary - Paula Hobble, CTC, Treasurer - Alex Trettin. Thank you to all who ran and partiipated.
With the end of the chapter year approaching us in September, ASTA would like to thank John Lovell of Breton Village Travel who has served as the 2009 – 2010 Chapter Presidents Council (CPC) Chair. During his term as CPC Chair, Lovell has worked to bring the issues in front of the National Board of Directors to help the local members. In the last year under his direction, the CPC secured funding for the chapters, developed new chapter viability standards, developed a communication method to reach all ASTA members when important legislative activity requires action occurs (such as the recent United issue) and even some of the improvements you see to the chapter newsletters. There are still several projects in the pipeline undergoing the approval process which he started by listening to what you the local members needs.
Alex Trettin, Outgoing Chapter President
